Threat of COVID-19 More Potent Against Refugees

Amongst the most vulnerable to the Covid-19 pandemic are refugees living in under-developed camps. Most refugee camps do not have stable internet, and often a lacking water infrastructure etc. They are typically ill-prepared against heavy rain (which happens often in regions like Bangladesh). Also, UN Secretary General Guturres states that "the COVID-19 pandemic poses an additional threat to refugees and displaced people, who are among the most vulnerable."Material support seems much needed, but more needed is intellectual guidance on how to better the massive refugee communities (like architecture etc) so that refugees can build their own foundation to thrive.

Did you know the World Refugee Day passed last month in June 20th? Let's remember this day as a remainder that there are still millions of refugees in the world, a lot of them under conditions that can be improved.
